data on forms not changing

When I set up my chart, I made the part number of pieces the primary key. I then made a form in which I could look up or enter the data that goes along with the part number. I used a combo box so the user could type in the part number and find the part in a list of all the parts. After hitting enter to select the part, another part number box lower in the form shifts to the desired part number. Unfortunately, the rest of the information does not change. The number on the bottom giving the specific file number out of the total number of files also does not change. If I click through the files then all the information does change. What can I do to make it so when I look up a certain part number, the information given is for that specific part?

you should filter your form by the combo box, and on the combobox AfterUpdate event, requery the form.
