Question Database Coordinator/IT Analysis

Gina, after changing to design view in the Properties window under the format tab. You only have Autoresize not Autosize. I've changed that to no, but nothing happen. I'm I doing this right?

Oops yep it is called AutoResize... But you also have to size the form to the size you want by dragging the outer edges.

Stepping away from machine for a little bit so don't panic if I don't answer right away. If someone does not come along to help I will be back.

Yes, I have it. Thank you so much. Hey what about the cursor hover over the check box and it shows the information in the comments box. You have any thoughts?

Are you saying you want to display the contents of the comments box in a Control Tip when you hover over the Checkbox?

Yes, but will the information be updated once the user adds information to the comments box?

Let's try something like...

Me.Check110.ControlTipText = Me.TheNameOfYourNotesField.Text

Gina, can i just copy/paste this into the visual basic program in between the script. Also what if i send you a sample of what i'm working on?

You can't copy paste the above because I don't know the name of the Text Notes field. You can send the sample but as I am now on my way out the door I will not get to it until later tonight OR tomorrow.

The form script work. Thanks, but the mouse over or hover over the check box did not work. Any ideas?

Did you get any message at all? And what event did you put it on?

I put the script in the After Update event and I even tried On mouse down event as well.

You need to place in the On_Current event of the form AND in the After_Update event of the checkbox. Note, I never asked if this was a continuous form because this will not work if it is one.

I received an error message (Compile Error: Method or data member not found)

Gina,

I wonder if the Zoombox would be useful in this case?

Maybe. That might work. But where is it located. I don't see it.
