database copied

hi all i have a big prob!

i opened up my database this morning and it has been working fine all day, suddenly where it is located a copy of my database has been worked, and the original when opens shows nothing, anyone knows what happened?thanks

now its suddenly working...im not complaining, but could someone please tell me why this could have happened...thanks a lot

i am by far and expert, but i have seen this happend to me a few times. from what i gather your ms access crashed when closeing and dumped all the data to a backup file. or thats what it did for me anyway, in your original file is there any forums/tables in there. or is it complely blank? and what is in the backup file?

now everything is working. When it made the copy, my original database just showed the grey background of access, was completely blank. My copy, had data up until the 6th in there, i don't have a clue what happened there, suddenly it started working again. Will i be ok deleting the copied one do you think? I would make a copy of the working database, but it is in Budapest and im in the UK and it would take me 4 hours to copy it, the person who usually does it over there has gone home, thanks.
