I am using 2000 Access.
My database keep on growing even though I have constantly deleted tranactions. Is there any way to restruture or organize the database so as to reduce the file size of the database??
Thanks!!

You want to schedule a time when your database is otherwise not in use and perform what is called a "Compact and Repair."

Databases grow. But when you have a lot of "record churning" (creation and deletion of records), you incur a lot of space that is marked as deleted, but it has not yet been reclaimed. This is part of the way that Access works and cannot be avoided. The only known solution is to stop using it, compact & repair, and start using it again.

Where can I find this "Compact and Repair" option!!?? Thanks!!

Compact and repair can be found under the Tools Menu, Database Utilities.

Or use the code presented here.
