Date range From Within Report

I have the attached report and I want a user to be able to open this report and it will show them the date range selected.

I'm not sure of the best way to do this but I thought just adding the Start date and End Date on the top of the report would be the easiest way but from reading different posts I dont think that was maybe such a wonderful Idea. It appears that maybe a form to enter the dates on as the calendar doesnt show on a Report is the way to go.

Can someone take a look at this and possibly help me out on getting this to work? I dont care it its on the report or on a seperate form and when they want to enter another date reange they hit a button to close the report and enter another date range or if it is a refresh button on the report based on two date fields myself I just would like it to work lol..

I would recommend to have a form that allows the users to enter the dates for the report, then click a button to run the report. If that button includes a DoCmd.Close acReport, "rptYourReportName" before the DoCmd.OpenReport, then it will just basically be doing what looks to the user as a refresh with the new dates.
The report does not allow user input fields on it. It is an output only object.

when your users enter their dates, save them in public global variables

then when yuo open the report you can just set a label caption to include the variable

datalabel.caption = "between " & gblFromDate & " and " & gblToDate
