I have noticed that when a table is in a password protected DB I have to enter that password when creating a linked table from another DB. This is fine but then the linked table can be used thereafter without entering a password. Can I force the input of a password each time data is viewed via the linked table?

Once a person has entered the password to view this means that the user is given access to the mdb that is password protected. Its like giving someone ther key to your front door. Would you expect them to have to unlock every door in your house to get into each room.

Unless you lived in prison, that is. But in prison security is the main concern. If you want to set up you system as a prison you need to look at other security methods, however if you are happy that once they get past the front door they can go into any room in the house you want them to then no further action is required.

If you have a special room that you do not want them to enter you can ask them if they have a seperate key for this room. If they have then ok, if not, go away.
