Decimal Places

Please help,

Got an urgent but hopefully easy to fix problem.

In a table, ho can I set it so it shows 1 decimal place. I keep changing all the settings but it keeps reverting to a whole number.

Open the table in design view.

I the field properties box for the field in question the decimal places property is set to "auto" by default.

Cick in the box and a scroll arow appears.

Open the scroll and pick the number of decimal places you want.

Or

Just highlight "auto" and replace it with the number of decimal places you require

What Parker said but you have to change the field type to either Single or Double. The default, Long, cannot have decimal places.

Also make sure that your field size is set to at least 'Single'. I would hazard a guess that it is currently set to 'Long Integer' which will not permit fractions.
