Design Aid Software

[Catalina]

I need to make a few new databases and I would like to layout the table design before I start the actual programming.

I'm thinking about a Diagram or Flowchart program for this purpose.
Can anyone recommend a free program that is suitable for this kind of work?

All suggestions will be appreciated.

I don't know of a free program for that but I use Visio for mine.

I don't have Visio and don't intend to buy it.

After some extensive browsing I found this free tool:

Software Ideas Modeler (http://www.softwareideas.net)
I haven't used it yet, but to me it looks promising.

Here is another one:

StarUML (http://staruml.sourceforge.net/en/about.php)

For now I stick with something I already have: PowerPoint.
The drawing tools work fine for diagramming the tables and I can also
design the form layouts,

I just wish I had thought of it before!
