Not an expert developer but have been distributing a database based on ADT for Access 95 .
Clients machines with 1GB of memory has forced me to move to Developer for Access 2000 .
One customer in France when trying to load is getting the message :
VISUAL BASIC 6.0 SETUP TOOLKIT
Office Systems Pack cant be installed as the languages are not the same.Install the Office system pack for the appropriate language,
What do I do?
How can I still use ADT for Access 95 (with which I've had no problems) on 1GB machines without getting the "Out of Memory" glitch?

Developer

When you used the Developer of 2000 in the language option did you choose French?

What is the operating system that these machines are using that is producing the "out of memory" error? Surely this isn't a 1 gig hard drive?

Not originally , problem never occurred before with ADT for Access 95-dont think it was an option- now trying to locate the files on original discs ( with difficulty ) since they are not loaded as standard.
Its a windows jet database engine problem that Microsoft recognise ( see microsoft article ( Q161255) they have issued a fix but it doesnt work

I'm having a similar problem

The difference that I have is that I don't have a customer in France - only the UK (where I am based) - so we naturally chose English. We are also trying to use Access 2002 runtime and XP Developer - so could that make a difference?

I realise I ask nothing but questions, but I've been thrown right in at the deep end and I'm having to learn fast before I drown!

Thanks - but no...

Is your error message the same or different?

Is it this one

If so the fix is in the Microsoft kb
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837150/

Hi John.Woody

Nope, we fixed that error a while ago. The message we're getting is along the lines of:
VISUAL BASIC 6.0 SETUP TOOLKIT
Office Systems Pack cannot be installed as the languages are not the same
And that's what's so confusing. Could it be anything to do with the Visual Basic language itself and not English, French or whatever? Or am I barking up an entirely different forest?
