disable autofill feature?

A2K: This is ridiculous, but I can’t figure out how to disable this feature. When data is entered directly into an Access 2000 table, if you enter numbers into two consecutive fields on a record, Access will guess the number in the next field and fill it in—then if that number violates a validation rule, you get an error message before you even have a chance to overwrite it!

Where is the setting that governs this dumb feature?

Sorry, you won't be able to disable it. See microsoft's article related to it.

AutoFill has saved me alot of time in some instances; but also slowed me down in others. I agree that there should be a way to turn it on and off.
