Disable group edit of controls

Pardon the gumby question;

I have created a form using Create|Form.

I have now opened it in Design view and wish to adjust the width of the controls - text boxes etc but when I try to adjust one, all of the text boxes in that column are adjusted.

How do I individually adjust the widths?

If its a continous form or datasheet view there is no way to do what you want.

Did you "group" them together using "Layout frame", (see picture below)?

Yes, I was able to modify and delete what I needed to, but now I am left with some blank cells that show up in the properties window with names like "empty cell 49".
Can those be deleted?

Also it has left one control un-selectable by clicking. Can only select from the properties window drop down. Could it be sitting behind this Empty Cell 49?

Differcult to say, try delete this empty cell.
