Having in the last 2 days suddenly found out how to use Iif (thanks George), and then DSum and then this morning DLookup, I am suddenly empowered and feel freed.

For too long I have been stuck in a rut in having to combine tables in queries to get the results I want in my forms. Subforms have so many limits.

Had to share.....

Knowledge is empowering , but remember this from ACCESS help.

Tips

Although you can use the DLookup function to display a value from a field in a foreign table, it may be more efficient to create a query that contains the fields that you need from both tables and then to base your form or report on that query.

Requery has now got me tearing my hair out. I did enjoy the moment though, and the warning is heeded.

I think your next empowering moment should come from using the visual query design tool and how to coordinate its use with hand-written SQL. THEN, you'll feel power...muahaha.
