Doubts about partial sum

The record source you mean this one
SELECT Lavori.id_lavori
FROM Lavori;

i changed the form name in the query criteria.
Ok now i get a blank report. The form works because i have a textbox with
= "From " & [Forms]![GestioneOre]![CriterioInizio] & " to " ....
and these two dates appear correctly.
Then it must be the report fault... looking into it.

EDIT: trying to launch report from the list with manual input into the prompts gives me the correct list of hours but fails to display the dates i talked about...
im getting confused.

EDIT n2: sorry even if i leave all prompts blanks it gives me the list of hours for the 1st job (which by chance was the same one i'm using to try)

I don't normally use a SELECT clause in the recordsource but just enter the query that my Form or Report is based on.

I have it working having changed some of the report control source to English as in the tables from the Italian, I suspect that this problem occurred as you tried to make things simpler for me.

You should be able to get it working bt
1 Correct Form name
I suspect that your Select clauses may be ok but I changed

2 the Form recordsource to Lavori
3 The report recordSource to QueryLavoro

Edit scrub that its not working properly

im sorry but i think the sources are already set that way.
maybe i dont understand because of a different translation in the program, could you attach a screen of what properties do you mean by record source and where you set it?

thanks

LOL

One has to laugh or cry

I just checked out your combo, you made it from the Table, and multi column, Go into properties and change the bound column to 2.
Currently it is passing the Job_id_auto to the query.

This should have been one of the first things I checked. :o

Sorry I didn't see your post, just change the form name in the criteria and the bound column in the combo properties and see what happens.

I think that there is a language conflict making my testing difficult, I may download your DB and start again depending on your testingas I have messed up the db at the moment.

Ok started again, did what I said in the last post and except for some controlname problems due to English/Italian conflicts all is working fine

Brian

Thanks.
I have come to the conclusion that these Microsoft Wizards must be working with the dark lord and scheming against humanity!

Will try to correct the database and hopefully it will work.
Thanks Brian.

Hi Brian,
thanks to you the database is now up and running. Final problem was indeed the colum reference as you said.
Sadly i've been forbidden to share it by my boss :(

I must say that Access is very interesting, if only i had time i'd look seriously into it.

Glad its all up and running, I am not surprised that your boss refuses to publish it, very few would.

Best wishes for the future

Brian
