Hi Folks,

Access Noobie here. Having great difficulty linking result from 2 DropDown selections to a Subform.

I have Location, Employee and Courses Table. I have managed to get the two dependant dropdowns working so upon clicking the first Location option, the Employee Dropdown is then updated with Employees from that specific location.

Upon clicking the second Employee Dropdown, i would then like a subform showing what courses that specific employee has done.

I cannot get my head around it and have tried all combinations of linking Master/Child entries.

The 2 Dropdowns are located on the FRM.Employee Form. At a future date, i would also like to link extra subforms with more information on the specific employee etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is your system for? To me the rules governing location in your system are not clear. An employee has a location AND a course has a location, so when an employee is related to a course you might have two conflicting locations. Is this by design and if so, what does it mean?
Also, you don't want to link your subform on BOTH these criteria or you get a list of employees at location A who took a course at location B. This doesn`t tell you who took the course, or who is where, or where a course is--so it has little value.

Hi Lagbolt - thanks for comments.

i have attached my updated database with modified tables. I agree that my tables were a bit all over the place :)

I would like to show a subform on the FRM.Employee showing the relevant courses employees have taken. I wish to filter the subform by selecting the location & employee combos to get the specific courses taken by each individual.

Employees would have a location but courses would not so you are right.

Hope this makes sense
