Here goes, i have a tabbed form, my main form which is called contacts has a field called telephone number, on another tab within that i have a form called purchase info. Both forms have the field telephone number and when i enter the telephone number on the contacts form i want it to take that information and add it into the other form. Both fields will store the information in different tables, anyone know how i can do this?

Why are you duplicating the data in different tables?

I agree - not good to duplicate data in tables.
But if you want to do so in the second form, either bound the field to the same source, or bound it to the remote field:
=Forms!NameOfMainForm!TelephoneNum

PS: you will not be able to update the second field as it will be auto locked.

Well i used to enter the data twice manually so placed the data in seperate tables which corresponded with the form. Now i want to just have it take the data and place in another but i am unsure how to do this.

Thanks for coming back to me Freshman, that was my initial idea to bound the field to the same source but to be honest i havent worked on my DB in such along time i have forgotten how i do it :-(

If you db is not too big you could paste it here and I'll do it for you and paste it back.

My db is massive and is also split, can you advise or is it to long, i only need the general idea as im sure i will remember.

I gave you the general idea in my initial reply :)

Make the source of the second field to the following:
=Forms!NameofMainTable!NameofField

You can also click on the Expression Builder (...) of the Countrol Source of the second field and then "browse" your way to the first field.

I sure hope I make sense :)

It sure did make sense and worked brilliantly thank you.
