Hi all,

I am creating a scheduling db. I have a form that displays all the schedules and within a scheduled task there will most likely be a macro. I want to have a button by the side of the macro name field that when clicked opens up the macro for editing.

is this poss'???

thanks,
spin.

Why would you want to do that? Users should not be allowed to access any development aspect of the system. You would not have any control of what is recorded, they could actually start deleting table, anything. A complete No No as far as I am concerned.

hi David,

I know this is a 'bit' risky but it's just myself and a colleague who are using the database. The macros are responsible for opening other dbs (usually with an auton exec macro) or file copying etc.

I also need to be able to create a new macro by clicking a button when it's a new record so will need another button that will open a new macro (probably switch the visibility between the 2 based on existing/new records)???

i definately don't allow this on multi user set ups. :)

If you advise another way then i'll happily listen.

* i have attached the db for you to look at. The edit/new macro on the form 'frm_task' are the buttons i'm hoping to get functioning.
