I have been attempting to design a new form that contains a linked object from another piece of software. The other software (SPIDA) stores the results in an Access database. I would like to put an icon on the form that allows people to double click on the icon and open up the results from the other program. I have attempted the use of an icon, but it will not allow me to double click and open the second database.
I am also interested in storing the results from the Spida database in my new database table. Can I do this with a test format command of an OLE object? I ultimately want to be able to export all the data (from both programs) into a dataset for statistical analysis.
