Error Message when nothing is eneterd into a memo box

I was wandering if anyone could help me? I have three boxes which something needs to be eneterd in whenever anyone creates a new record on the form. I.E before you can save, a message box appears saying you must enter something in the box? Any ideas?

What's the question?? Do you want the messagebox to disappear, if so enter something in the field or change the properties of the offending field Required = no

in the forms before update event

if nz(memofield,vbnullstring)=vbnullstring then
 msgbox("please enter a value in field memofield")
 memofield.setfocus
 cancel = vbcancel
 exit sub
end if

will do it, and take the user to the missing field
