Extra calendar control?

apologies for the duplicate; extraordinary delays made me think the post hadn't happened.
In ACC2007:

In a form with a date field, I've added Uncle Gizmo's calendar to add or edit dates in that field. Curiously, a calendar control with no presence in design view also appears. There is no control over its location or appearance. If I make the Gizmo calendar button not visible, the extra calendar control disappears. My solution has been to hide the Gizmo button behind the Close button. A screen shot showing the two controls is attached. The spurious control is the one on the left.

I'd appreciate any information on this extra uncontrollable control.

There's a setting (can't remember where off hand) that lets you turn off the built in calendars and that is what I would do.

For the form's control, in Properties, Format, Show Date Picker. Now set to Never.
