extract medium time

text59 is formated as general date. when the user dbl clicks the field i would like the value to go to "time_in" and formated as medium time.

Me.Time_in = Me.Text59 Format (Me.Text59 = "medium time")

The code brings the date and time to the time_in field...even with the time_in field formated as medium time

To be honest, I'm having a hard time making heads or tails out of your explanation, but I think what you need is

Me.Time_in = Format(Me.Text59, "Medium Time")

Use Property sheet to format the text box Time_in as Medium Time (I assume that this text box is unbound).
Then, under double click event for Text59:
Me.Time_in = Me.Text59

By the way, use understandable names. What means Text59 ? Why not... 69 ? This can have some reasons, isn't it ?

In essence, that's what he's already using! Problem is, Text59 is formatted as 'General Date' (which is what he's getting, in Time_in, and he wants 'Medium Time.'
