First reasonable suggestion you made in a while - :)

I really am a very reasonable person in general, although it might be kind of hard to tell that from this forum.

Perhaps we could all find away to use all the negative energy here to power our vehicles and we would not need petrolium products for energy...

The reason they pay more for gas is because their gasoline taxes are higher than ours, it isn't because exxon pays higher taxes on it's profits.

If Exxon has to pay more in taxes in those countries, you can be sure that they are charging the retailers more, and the retailers are passing that on to the consumer.

Rule #27 of Capitalism - only the end user pays taxes.

Let's see, for most of the months of September and October gas at the pump averaged about $2.50 a gallon. The question that must now be asked is...

Why are you suprized at this story?

Or we could just invest in bringing alternative energy sources to market, like we have been talking about doing for the last 40 years. Oh wait, that would make us socialists, or worse, communists!
Nevermind.
