Field results in 2 forms?

I want to make the value of a field in one form appear in another form. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

On the afterupdate event of the field on one form, store the value on the second form.

Not quite sure how to do that...this is what I need to do...in form one I have a field where I enter a "Final Payment". I would like that information to show up in an "Income Amount" field on form two.

Go to the the design view of your form; right click on field "Final Payment" and select properties, on property AfterUpdate, select [Event Procedure], then in the right margins click the little button with three dots in it and an empty subroutine will be built, to which you add

Forms!YourSecondFormName![Income Amount]= me![Final Payment]

Then close that window.

This assume the "YourSecondFormName" is open (it may be hidden) and that you've somehow positioned it to the correct record.

I suspect you haven't asked your question correctly. Is your question, "How do I get a data value from a form into another table?"

Ok you guys must really love us beginners!!!! I tried the afterupdate expression and got an error message that told me "the object doesn't contain the automation object 'me'..
yet the expression I used is =[Forms]![Income]![Amount of Income]=Me![Final Payment]
Maybe I am not asking question right... I think the way you worded the question is right

"Me" is the current active form. If Me isn't available, someting else is wrong. Can't tell from you postings.

Rather than put it on the line, click on the button with three dots on the AfterUpdate event line and select Code Builder - put the code in the module provided.

Still pulling the little amount of hair I have left out of my head!!!!

"Mile" I used the code builder and put the following line:
Form!Income![Amount of Income]=me![Final Payment]
Income is the name of the form that Amount of Income field sits.
Final Payment is the field on another form that I fill in. When I fill that field in and then leave it I then get a run-time error message that says "Access can't find the field 'Income' referred to in your expression"
Help!!!!!!!!!! 'Amount of Income' is the field I am referring to by the brackets is'nt it?

You Can use the controll Default Value and place [Forms]![FormName]![Control Name]
