Hi
I have created a number of buttons on a form which relate to an On click 'event procedure' (Docmd.OpenForm "frm****", AcNormal. Up until now this has worked perfectly. Now whenI add new buttons or click an existing button I get the following message: "File not found" ! Why is this and can anydody help me?

File Not Found is not the normal error messge you get if it is looking for a form. What is the actual error being reported and on what line is it being raised?

Hi David,

Sorry I can't see what form it is looking for. The message, as I said, only appears when I press one of my buttons. There is no ' Error number' just the message 'File not found'. Personally I have the feelig that the fault lies somewhere in the related query or server. What do you think?

What is behind the on click event of the button? What is it supposed to do?

Hi again,
The button when pressed should trigger off an event which in turn should open a form but at the momet it doesn't. I just get the error message. The form it should open is based on a query.

If you try and open the form normally do it load ok without errors?

Hi,
yes but with reservations! On the form, when I open it normally, I have a 'button' with an event (Docmd.Close) this should close the form but instead I get the same error message (no need to tell you what that says). I have to close it by right clicking on its tab and selecting close.
By the way I am using Access 2010

Hi,
I found that the best solution was to remove and re-install Access 2010 now all my problems are solved and I now consider this matter as solved.
Danmac:)
