Hello everyone,

I have several calculated fields in an Access form. When I select the datasheet view of the form, Access does not let me filter the calculated fields. The calculated fields are based on the table linked to the form. Is there any chance to filter these fields in the datasheet view in Access?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards, JG

I think it may depend on the calculation. I use a FullName calculated field: [FirstName] & " " & [LastName])

It allows me to filter and/or sort in datasheet view without any problem.
Same on a query based on that table.

You should be able to filter the calculated field providing the formula is sound. What type of results is the Calculated field? Numeric? Text?

If you are using an Access calculated field at the table level, this may not be possible. I don't use calculated fields so I can't tell you what they will and will not do. I don't use any data types that cannot be upsized to SQL Server. If you calculate the value manually in the query, then there is no problem.
