I have a dialog box on the screen of which one of the options is to do a print preview of a report. Unfortunatley the Preview opens behind the dialog box and you have to close the dialog box to get at the print preview to close. I have tried closing the dialog box after opening the print preview and then opening it on the close event of the print preview but the print preview wont close. Nightmare.

Any offers would be gratefully received.

Sounds like the dialogue box's modal option is set to Yes. Try setting it to No. It will no longer be a true dialogue box but if it works don't knock it.

I don't know if your still interested but you might want to have the reports onopen macro/procedure change the form visibility to False. This will effectively hide the dialog form. You would then have the onclose macro/procedure change the form visibility back to true. Even if you figured this out hopefully it will help other seekers of knowledge (although that is usually me...).
