First Post : Introduction

I was laid off from my engineering job last June so I decided to semi-retire. I wanted to keep working part time so I got a little project converting a company's Excel based "database" to an Access database.

While doing engineering / design work, I used Dbase III/IV and another database that ran on a mini computer originally from Prime computers.

I used dBase III & IV in the mid 80's. I still have copies of them and may be one of these days I'll set up an old DOS computer and run them again for nostalgic reasons.
