There is a command you use to execute a one pc of code before executing the next so that you have the results before going forward - can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance - I'm having an oldtimers moment :)

Here's another quick Q: I set a public var in a form and need to ref it in a query, how's this done? If I just put the var name it tries to put it in quotes!

Sounds like you need to use a Do..While or a Do..Until loop. But without more details as to what your waiting for I can't be more specific.

1. Are you thinking of the command DoEvents ?

2. Variables are not directly accesible in queries.
One solution is to use a Public Function to return the variable.

In Access 2007/10 TempVars can be used.

The DoEvents was what I was looking for! thanks

And I ref'd the var off a form - :)
