Ok. I have found if I use, in design view:
Date/Time:
"d, m, yy" I enter 3,5,12
Here are my results:
d,m,yy is displayed. If i click back into the fields it will display the proper format 3/5/2012. Just as soon as I leave the field it returns to d,m,yy.
I'm getting closer to my needs but it sure seams a bit funky.
I'm finding it impossible to believe this can't be done. Not only that he can't be done but that it's a complex situation to acquire. Figuring the date seems closer to a reality now. But when you have a field that requires six characters and you enter six characters, seems like the most natural thing to be done is advancement to the next field. and that should be as clear an accomplishment as "B" comes after "A" in "ABC". I'm not trying to be sarcastic here. It's just a bit frustrating and I'm trying to show my mindset on the issue.
