Hi all,
I just wrote a post in the Theory and practice of database design section and i'm not sure if its getting the views i was hoping for.

Is there a way to repost it in other sections?

I don't want to tick anyone off by reposting all over the forum, but i'd love it if I could somehow get more people to view this post, as i'm in need of some real help!

Or is there a way that i can get a list of the best guys on here who would be willing to help me.

I really need some help, and i don't want to get on anyones nerves!

cheers Andy

Dude it is Sunday (at least it is in my time zone ;) ) and your post has only been up for maybe ten hours so far  You might get more hits once people start back at work.

I could move it to the general section for you, or to some other section that you might see as more appropriate.

Let me know which.

Hi thanks for getting back to me. Didn't think about it being Sunday and all. My bad.
I think its in the right place, but i'm not really that sure. Would you have a look at it for me and suggest the right place to put it? I guess it is more of a general question as in my head anyway it is spanning more than one section, and the answer my lay somewhere else other than in the theory of it.
Sorry for being a spud... In one of those gotta get everything done today moods.
Tidying all the crap up around my house, and sorting out kids and work stuff all in one go. And its the first day the suns made an appearance in at least a week, maybe 2 tbh.

So no worries, shall we let it ride for the time being, and see how it goes?
I've never used forums before really, I've trawled them for solutions but never posted, so I'm not really sure of the etiquette. Only what I've picked up on from other peoples posts.

Thanks for the advice!
Andy

You could probably have put that post the General section or the Queries section, but then the section you struck upon is appropriate too :o

Posting on forums is a bit like fishing, you through in your bait (question) and see who bites (answers) :D Depending on the day, the time, who's on line and their area of interest/expertise you might not be waiting long or you may have to be a little patient. Mind you only fish in the one place at a time ;)

Goodly post in the right place, just think that the Bradford Formula like any other calculation is best calculated on the fly rather then a stored value.
