Can anyone tell me how to produce a report with French accents please. I know how to do this in Word but cannot see how to do it in Access 2010

Maybe if I could understand what you exactly want!
But how do you do it in Word?

Thanks for the quick response. I want to be able to add, in this instance, an acute accent to the letter e in a report.
The 2 methods I use in Word are: 1) insert a symbol or 2) press Ctrl + ' + the letter (this gives me an acute accent. However, this does not work in Access and, as an aside, it does not work when replying to this thread.
This is my first posting so please be patient with me.

If you can produce that character in other software, can you copy it from there into Access?

I think it does if that is what you looking for - é.
Keep <Alt> key down and press ´ then release <Alt> then press letter e. Work also in MS-Access table.

I tried that but pasting is not an option inside a label in a report.

This works using ALT and the numeric keyboard.

Further, I do not have é on my keyboard. But I can generate it by pressing "´" (without quotation marks) and then "e" right after.
è ë ê

produced similarly.

And finally,

I tried that but pasting is not an option inside a label in a report.

How did you do that exactly? Pasting single letters or entire text into a label works just fine in a report here.

My sincere thanks to all you guys for your help. The solution that works for me is to hold down the alt key and type the ASCII number using the keypad - in this case alt +130 gives me a lower case e with an acute accent. Thanks again
