This is probably an easy question, but I can't figure out how to get a table to show numbers in 2 decimals points when they are inputted with 2-5 decimal points. I changed the DATA TYPE to Number and DECIMAL PLACES to 2, but when I do that, it just rounds it to a whole number. Please help, thanks!

First guess is the Field Size is Long Integer or Integer, neither of which hold decimals.

It was DOUBLE, but I don't know which one will hold Decimal. I tried Decimal, but it rounded to a whole number

Double and Decimal should both hold the decimals. To just show 2 if there are more, I'd just format the textbox on the form or report appropriately.

Go to your form in Design View and right click on the textbox in question and then click on Properties.

A box will open and the tab you want is Format and Format is the first option. You will see a couple of ways of displaying numbers and the next option down is for decimal places.

I found that going to the table design and choosing number and then single --> Standard (I think this is under format type)--> 2 would allow me to keep 2 decimel points without rounding.
