I was about to post a thread asking for help in identifying how I managed to make text in a report control bold, if the person had passed away.

I compacted the DB and was about to attach it to the post.

I had looked (what I thought was ) everywhere, and could not find how I did it. Nothing in CF at all?

Just as I was about to attach the DB, I suddenly thought of one last place.

Yep, in the Detail_Format event. :)

Embrace it, Paul. Its the only way to keep your sanity...

BTW, I hit the big 6-0 last month. Guess I am official a "geezer"

Aren't you using conditional formatting based on the presence of a date in the Date of Death field?

I am 68 and it's just a number to me. I am thankfully in good health and still do things I've done since I was a little kid, like playing competitive tennis, watersports, etc.

Old is a state of mind. The unfortunate part is that it is very hard to pack up and move to another state. This year I turned 77. My health isn't perfect but I can still walk 3 miles a day, weather and other issues permitting. And my dear wife's dislocated shoulder is responding well enough to therapy that she can do short drives on her own now, which means I don't have to schedule my walks around being her chauffeur for thrice-weekly physical therapy visits. Things are slowly looking up.

👈 As per my image, my heart stopped (sudden cardiac arrest) two years ago at age 69. I can verify, getting old is better than the alternative. I now have a valid reason for lapses in memory.

I recommend a coronary calcium scan for people over 60 particularly if you experience any heart related symptoms.

Don’t bold me in a report 😁

Every time I get Chest imaging done the report says I have severe aortic calcifications. However, that's an erred interpretation because the radiologists are actually looking at the two stents I have implanted in my heart. My blood pressure is steadily ~ 120/80 and my lipids are great, thanks to the Repatha my cardiologist prescribed, my diet control, and daily exercises.

Had that calcium scan done a decade ago or more. Scored 100, which is actually a BAD score. But the follow-up thallium radiological assay looking for blockages turned up 0. My LDL is SO low that my cardiologist reduced my statin dose to the minimum dosage (5 mg) and, last time, the LDL was STILL so low he switched me to every other day on the statin. Blood pressure varies a bit but last was 120-something over 70-something. I'm still losing weight slowly, down 40+ pounds from my highest body weight. Nobody's complaining about that. So I guess I'm good for at least a couple of more years.

Are you taking Mounjaro, or some other GLP for weight loss?.. I'm on Mounjaro 10mg x1 weekly and have lost 50 lbs, and counting. Currently at 210, goal is 190. It works!

I did tirzepatide and lost 45 pounds over ~ 3 months. stopped tirzepatide. gained 15 of them back, but now holding steady.
And the gaining back wasn't the drug's fault, obviously, it was because I went back to bowls of ice cream (for a while).
It's pricey but it works AMAZINGLY well. It attacks the problem from 3 angles at once - desire for food, insulin processing, and stomach emptying.
I combined my tirzepatide with a lot of cans of tuna for dinner, though - that's why it worked

If you could tell your 46 year old self some piece of advice, what would it have been?

I imagine you would stop the bowls of ice cream if you restarted tirzepatide. It certainly curbs my appetite, but also shuts down my digestive system. Only urge I get for eating is with my eyes.

That's a hard question to answer. My decision making back then was different. I wasn't preparing for the long term where I'm at now.

If you feel a pain in your chest (even if for just 5 seconds), don’t ignore it. The same is true for other symptoms.

Don't give anyone advice, especially yourself!

There is only one sensible bit of advice ever - "You are never too old for a teddybear"
