Does anyone have a good idea how to either 1.) add this library to the database file itself or 2.) automate a process to get it registered on multiple computers without having to goto each station individually? I have added animated gifs to my database but as you can imagine if i want my users to be able to see it i would need to register this file on EVERY machine i want it to work on.

This might help... Rotating Logo?

I prefer not to use the dll method and use the process I demonstrate in the animatedgifs2.zip sample I posted in the above link.

Good idea... I've noticed you seem to have a knack for not really answering my question as much as offering a different solution to the same overall problem i proposed. thank you much either way! :D

I disagree. A user listed the command a user would have to run to register the dll in the link I provided. You should be able to run a Shell() function to register the dll. There are other postings discussing how to register a file. I do not pay attention to them since I avoid the situation.

I also avoid ActiveX and DLL references for the odvious reasons.

well regardless of the fact that i seem to try to do things the hardest way possible.. i really must thank you for the anim advice.. it works great!
