good resources for software help non-Access related

I have accounts on each one of these forums and I've started discussions in almost all of them. Rarely has there been a time that I did *not* get help from an expert in the subject matter I was asking about:

I have found many good answers with stackoverflow. However, I have really been turned-off by stackoverflow and the arrogance of many of those responding to questions posted.

I would tend to agree with you Steve. I've only posted a few times on SO and the times that I did, I got very "hot headed" responses that made me feel like I was a stupid person asking a question too basic to belong there.

I know that. The reason I started this thread was to point people to resources where the uber-experts lurk....the ones that have deep level knowledge of specific subject area. More than likely they are working for large corporations.
