I have a report with products and prices but there are two types of prices
ex:dollars and francs How can i have grand total of each group?

product1 10 dollars
product2 20 francs
product3 15 dollars
product4 30 francs
product5 40 dollars

i want to have grand total dollars: 65 dollars
francs: 50 francs
I suppose that i must use Dsum
Please help me if someone know about that

thank you very much for your help
finaly the function is like this:
=Sum(IIf([monetary unit]="ITL";[amount];0))
=Sum(IIf([monetary unit]="USD";[amount];0))
if i have only ITL and USD

but if i have different monetary units like ITL USD EUR...
and i dont know each time which of all i have , it is possible to have another syntax?
or i must anytime to add a =Sum(IIf([monetary unit]="***";[amount];0))?
thank you very much

No just create a summation query add [monetary unit]select group by, add [amount] Sum.

can you tell me more info about that
thank you in advance

Sorry should have explained more, you have already realised the problems your going to have trying to calculate on currency types that don't already exist. The easiest way I think would be to create another query, add the fields product, monetary unit and amount to it: select the summation symbol on the toolbar access will add groupby underneath each of the three fields, change the amount one to sum, if you run the query now you will see the products grouped by product and currency if you use the report wizard to create this report you can group by the product and list the sum totals per currency for each product if you use the on close event of your first report to open this second report you could make it seem like a summary of the first, you could add any criteria for the first report to the second if necc. or you could use a sub report to achieve the same.I don't know of any other way to do what you want.

i made another query and another report as you told me but when i put it as a subreport
asks me many times for criteria that i gave in the main report
How can i give the same criteria without enter it again?

Use the first query as the record source for the second query, since the first query already has criteria in it you do not need to set criteria in the second.

I tried that you told me but when the subreport wizard asks me
to define the links between the main and the subform i must give the 'none'
to work ok
But the problem is that asks me 6 times to enter the criteria
It is possible to enter many times the same criteria whithout enter it again and again?
(maybe i made errors in the second query?)
