Good morning folks. I'm Frank and am a relatively new user to Access. I've used it on a very limited basis a few times, but I've never got into the programming aspect of it.

I've been in the US Air Force for 11 years, and my job is very customer oriented. We provide calibration and repair services to our units as well as our civilian contractors and sister branches of the armed services.

I'm here to hopefully get some tips or assistance on how to program an access database to make my job a bit easier on getting information out to all of my customers(more on this in a seperate thread).

Thanks for having me here, I look forward to chatting with you folks and learning from the experts. :D

Welcome aboard. My daughter is a maintenance officer in the USAF; sounds like you're in a similar area. Thanks for your service.

Thanks for the welcome Paul.

You're quite right...I'm in a maintenance career field, but I have chevrons on my sleeve and not bars on my shoulders. *laughs*

I never know what to say when people thank me for my service...I don't want to say "you're welcome" because that sounds pretty arrogant in my opinion. But I appreciate your thanks all the same sir.

Who knows, maybe I'll get to work for your daughter one of these days...maintenenace is a small world after all.

Best regards,

Frank

I think I raised her right Frank, so while technically you'd work for her in reality you'd work with her. ;)

What part of the world are you in? She recently transferred from England to Idaho. I like having her close enough to visit for the weekend.

While I technically cannot say the exact location, I can tell you that I'm currently deployed to an "Undisclosed location in Southwest Asia".

However, I'm normally stationed at Langley AFB, in Virginia. I've spent the last 11 years of my career there so far. It's not a bad place to be, the only complaint I have is that there are too many buildings and people all stacked on top of one another. I'm a country boy...I love the wide open space, trees and wildlife you can find out in the country. But for now...it's home and I make the best of it...usually by going camping/hiking at every opportunity.

I understand. My son-in-law is deployed right now, so if you run into a Strike Eagle pilot call sign Plague, say hi for me. ;)

Stay safe!
