Hi

In Form design View I can see a grid of lines in the background that are used to help position controls etc.
In some books i've seen, this grid seems to show up as being more "zoomed-in?" (for want of a better word) and it also shows small dots inside the rows of lines. I think this would be easier for me when trying to line up objects but I don't know how to change from my current view to this one?
To be honest it's driving me crazy
Any help very much appreciated.

Hi
Forgot to mention i'm using Access 2007.
I can turn "snap to grid" on and off and it appears to work but it still doesn't show the actual grid with the dots in it!

I don't have ac07 yet so I won't be much help. Sorry.

Grid Lines

Did anyone fiqure that out, i'm trying the same thing.

It was 'grid x' and 'grid y' in 2003 in the form properties. Don't know how you set the default to something else - ?

This is a picture of an ac2007 form in design mode. It has lines and dots. Is that what you mean?

If I remember correctly the solution was to change the regional settings in windows :

"This view actually depends on what "Measurement System" your PC is set to
use - not an Access setting.
Go into Control Panel - Regional Options / Settings
Then choose the Numbers tab
There is a drop down box labelled "Measurement System"
Choose Metric or US
US gives the "more zoomed in" look with dots."
