If that is still the result it could be either plt-1 or D-7 that is the problem, but what I can't figure out.

Hi Brian! I found a solution!!

I still have no idea why your solution didn't work for me. The code in this thread worked perfectly, and will take into account any and all possibly combinations of numbers and letters as well as leading zeros. Wish I had found this sooner - funny how Google algorithms work sometimes. I added the word complex.

Hi Julie,
I'm glad that you have found a solution although it is frustrating to not know why mine did not work for you and did for me the important thing is that you now can move on.

I will be taking a better look at the link and the function when I get time.
