Hi,

I have created a form that details information about a user and has various subforms.

What I would like though is the change the header which currently just has a standard caption in it (which I currently have as 'User Form') to display two of the fields from within the form (namely Forename and Surname).

Is this possible? So far when i try it just puts duplicates of the fields in the form Detail and won't let me drag them in to the header.

thanks

in the form current event put

me.caption=me.Forename & " " & me.Surname

Please see attached screen shot- I don't think I am putting it in the right place.

Sorry new to this.

Any help much appreciated.

no you're not!

in your properties window, select 'form' at the top, then click on the events tab and select 'on current'. Then click on the trhee dot caret to the right and select 'code builder'

Now I see the name of your control put

Auto_Header.caption=me.Forename & " " & me.Surname

job done

Doing that gives me a run time error when I go back to the Form View.

when I click debug it takes me back to the code and highlights to code you gave me.

Any ides?

Amazing- thank you that worked a treat!
