Hello... ello... ello... llo... lo... oo

I have a black lab. They truely are the smartest and most loyal dogs!

My parent's dog was dumb (Even though I loved him). We went to training school with him, and I walked him everyday, and he never learned how to heal. Sitting was iffy too. The only person he would listen to was my dad. But we loved him all the same :) . He had to be put down a few years ago, it was sad. I almost expect to see him out in the yard when I go to visit them now.

We have two Chihuahuas. One that looks just like the Taco Bell dog (those in the US might remember those commercials - Yo quiero Taco Bell).

I think I need a beeger box...

Oops, I just did a Google search on the Taco Bell dog and realized my dog does NOT look like the Taco Bell dog. I had remembered him differently (bad memory chips - must get upgrade). :D

You have Mexican sewer rats as pets? :P

Yes Sir! And we also have Rats as pets. :) 4 of them.

All in all we have

4 Rats
2 Chihuahuas
1 Cat

I've just got a dog and cat. There are many pets I want though, namely a Rainbow Boa, Tarantula, Ferret, and Sugar Glider.

Thank you everybody for your kind words i've passed them on.

Here you are Ken, I don't know how to get it into the post so its an attachment.

Awww. What a precious baby, and a proud granddad for sure! I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's troubles but so glad to hear that it worked out. Something similar happened to a friend of mine, she and her husband tried to conceive for a while, spent a bunch of money on IVF, and eventually gave up and stopped trying. Then she got pregnant. :) I wonder if the stress of trying so hard has anything to do with that?

I have missed seeing you about....

In my case, it is the blasted work rules. I can post on the forum except when we have something "hot" going on. We just finished an exercise of switching to our standby site, running production from there, and then switching back after a few days. That plus a database to track patching requirements (now that we have 600+ servers and a couple of dozen patch notices per month) keeps me too busy to be very active on the forum.

Congrats to Brian on the new rug-rat-to-be. My #2 grandson was over this afternoon. Give the kid crackers and a place to snuggle up to you and you might as well be seated for the duration. He won't leave until the crackers are gone, the fickle little stink-pot. My best advice is to invest in a decent camera because the little stinkers have this annoying way of growing up way too fast.

My #1 grandson is now 15 (and I'm still working on accepting that...) and taller than me. The #2 grandson is 3 1/2 now, talking up a storm and active as all heck. When you look at him and realize he was 3 weeks preemie and still was 6 lb about 12 oz, and now he's 55+ lb (yes, at 3 1/2 years old), you KNOW he got enough care to keep up his health. Keeping up with him is what wears us down now. So Brian, do something pre-emptive. Start exercising the legs now 'cause you'll need them to follow in your grandson's footsteps.

So, since this is a baby/dog conversation, here's a couple of pics of my babies:

Since walking is my thing, 12 miles in the Peak distict tomorrow, I'm ahead of him at the moment :D, but of course i'm on the way out and he will get better. ;)

Bob we had a cat called Max, he was a maniac and had to be rescued from fights by big brother Tim who ruled the neighbourhood.

Is this the same peak district spoken of in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (The one that Lizzie goes to visit when she meets up again with Mr. Darcy?)

I so want to go there, another reason to fly right on over.....;)

As there is only one Peak District I guess it must be, I suppose it is not too far South of where the Austins lived. Infact next door in US terms. :D

Brian

OOPs sorry that was the Brontes that lived in Howarth, but yes P and p was set in Derbyshire which contains most of the Peak District.

That's so cool.... You'll have to tell about the view, and I'll have to live vicariously through you to see it. :)

I was in San Antonio last week for vacation. You would not believe the views there!

What part of Texas are you in Krystal?

That's true, the sights in those river side cafes are amazing. ;)
