Just a quick hello from (not so) sunny North Wales. I have been using Access 2007 for some time for very simple databases but have recently undertaken a pretty demanding (for me anyway) project at work so brace yourselves for some questions from this newbie.

I hope in time I will be able to give back but for now I think it is likely to be the other way round.

regards

Brian

Hello Brian from cool Scotland. Home sick for the Wirral. New to Access, going through as many tutorials as I can, so even with what you say is limited knowledge you would probably be above my standard. The members are very friendly and knowledgeable with a desire to help.

Regards

Ross

Hi Ross,

Good to hear from you. This Access stuff is certainly a steep learning curve and an uphill struggle.

My problem is partly that of remembering what I've seen in a tutorial or online video so that I can apply it when working on my own project. I'm no spring chicken and the old memory needs an urgent upgrade :(

Just got to keep at it and it will come eventually.

You are right when you say the guys on here are helpful and friendly.

regards

Brian

Hi Brian,

I had a master at school who said
"There is the knowledge and the knowledge of the knowledge, and the latter is just as important"

Well as I got older I realised what he was on about, I am long retired but so long as I know the concepts I can look up / work out the details.

Brian
