Hi All,

I'm a bit stressed out at the moment.

I have created my tables, reports and relationships. And now i need to view the actual database and i can't. Can anyone help me.

I need a step by step approach to how to do it. I'm not comfortable in Access 2010.

Please Help.

Alliyah

First, welcome to the forum. Hopefully it is really be helpful to you.

I do not understand your comment "now i need to view the actual database and i can't". Exactly what were you expecting to be able to do? You do not mention creating any Forms.

Please describe in detail exactly what you are wanting to do and I am sure someone will be glad to try to help.

Sorry, for not making myself clear.

I created a access database for a company. I did all the tables, design view, entity relationships. Now i just need to make it as a program. Where it can be access not using Microsoft access 2010.

Eg . A program / database for a dentist to record the customers information. Where you are not seeing the back office information.

Do you know how?

Hope this clear things up.

:)

There is no way to provide you with step-by-step instructions for doing what you have asked. What you are now needing is referred to as the "user interface". This is where you primarily create forms that will allow your uses to interact with the data. There are so many things involved in developing the user interface that it is just impossible to just provide you with a road map to accomplish what you want.

Do you know how?
I can say that I do know how. I make my living doing just that. But please understand that knowing how and being able to simply share it with you or anyone else in some sort of step-by-step guide is just not possible. There are just too many variables that come in to play. It literally takes years to develop the ability and the know how to create a good user interface.

With that said, I would suggest that you start by making sure that your database schema (the tables and their relationship) are designed correctly and normalized. I know that you said that you have created the tables, but in my view, if you have little or no experience developing databases, there is a good chance that you may need to get some help with the foundation (the schema of the database) before attempting to put the roof on the structure. I think it would be a good idea to have someone take a look at your database structure to see that it is normalized.

Once you have the foundation in place then you can start to learn about using Forms. When you are ready, there are plenty of opportunities to learn here in the forum and also using one of the search engines.

Just my thoughts.

Hi, everybody!
I think Alliyah (and me) wants to know how to make a shortcut to a form on a desktop somewhere else on the network.

Hi, Alliyah!
If you are talking about disabling the backend.... go (while the database is open) in file->options->Current Database->Navigation and untick Display Navigation Pane. Also you might want to disable the ribbon and toolbar as well.
Hope this helps a bit.
