 I have 2 tables of data that I have created a relationship for, all I want to do is produce a form that has a drop down list and you can choose something from the list and that will bring up the record from the second table. Is this possible and how do you do it if so?

Please don't be too technical as although I have had advanced courses in Access, I am still not up to the level as some people on here. :p

i think you need to explain more clearly what you want to do. use examples if you need.

i think what you mean is that you want to find a record based on your choice ina combo or listbox. if so, you don't need two tables (which is what has confused me about your original post -- this also could be an indication that you haven't got a normalised setup), you just need the wizard when adding your combo/list control to your bound form and then choose the the third option, which says something like "find a record based on my selection"

Okay, sorry never been part of a forum before. Thank you so much for getting back to me :o

An example would be I have a table with the following fields:
ID
Ref No
Year
Months
No of Hours

I would like to type in an ID and it bring up a record showing the rest of the information. Does that make sense?
I don't see the options you mentioned in Form Wizard!?! Am I a lost cause?

no, you're not a lost cause.
no, not the form wizard.
you already have a form, yes? that form is 'bound' already to your table/query, yes?
all you need to do now is add a combo box or a list box to your existing form. the wizard ought to pop up and ask what you want the box to do - it ought to give you three options, chose the last.
