I am new to the forum and new to access. I want to set up a database for my church. I have set up two tables. One is Donors the other is Donations. I have set the relationships that one donation will be from one donor only but a donor will have multiple donations.
To add donations, I want to create a form. The database entry person enters the phone number of the donor into this form. If that donor exists, then the donation will be entered into the donations table attributed to the particular donor. If on the other hand a donor does not exist on the Donors table, then I need a form to open up to add the donor and then the donation.
Any help will enable me to learn access and the church volunteers will be benefiting from the use of database as opposed to Excel.
I am using Access 2007.
