I have just finished putting a fairly complex form together & got a memory error.

I had to shut down access and now I cant get the form to open in either normal or design mode. It doesn't even flash a warning it just does nothing?????

I can view the form VB code

Any ideas?????

a. Try compact & repair
b. Try importing it into another .mdb, see if it works there. If so import it back in and see if it works

???

Can you delete everything in the db except the form and post it?

Do you have a ocx control on the form? I think it's having a problem finding a control named zmousetrap.ocx.

Do you know where the file is stored on your system? Do a search for zmousetrap.ocx

Both the database and the zmousetrap.ocx are located on my desktop.

The zmousetrap.ocx is working fine as I have used in other database's. I have just double checked and these will work on my desktop

Check and make sure the reference to it isn't broken. In vba code do Tools->References

The reference is present & pointing in the correct location.

I have removed and re-installed the reference to no avail!

I am starting to think I am going to have to rebuild the form.

Your help was much appreciate, I will chalk it up as another access hissy fit

Out of interest how did you ascertain that it was zmousetrap.ocx that was causing the problem?

I think an error message popped up when I tried to convert it to an mde. I was stabbing at anything when I tried that, no real rhyme or reason.

Just curious, is the zmouse you are working with the fingerprint reader mouse?

The zmousetrap.ocx is an active x control that disables the mouse scroll wheel action when placed in a form

Is it freeware or is there a website to go to where it can be purchased?
