help with calculations please!!

every time i use calculations containing +, the numbers aren't adding together - they are just listing e.g. if i wanted to do 2+3+4, the answer would come out as 234, not 9! does anyone know why this is happening? as far as i know i'm writing the calculations correctly!

Are the numbers set to a number format or are they listed in a text field?

You may have to convert the string to a value before you do the calculation.
