I have been trying to design an access database and finally got my tables set up like they need to be. It consists of three tables and 2 one to many relationships. This is the first time that I have ever tried to do this in my life and it's for work. Here is my current problem:
I am trying to query information, since in each of my 2 tables I have made the primary key an auto number so there are no repititions. Then in the junction table that I have I have taken both of those primary keys and made them primary in the junction table. I have related them, they have lines. Then when I try to query it tells me mismatch in type. I have researched this up and down for days. It says you can change the type in a query and when I do as they say: properties to format, the box is blank! There is nothing to choose from. I feel like I am loosing my mind!
I don't know the first thing about codes. This database is over 5 years of past company information. I feel like I am spinning in circles with this thing and when something happens to turn out right-by some miracle-I don't know how it happened. Just when I think I have this thing figured out it throws me out another error message!
Please Help!
