Hi Everyone
About 7 years ago I helped my brother do a Database in Access for a rather large Hydraulics Company,it was the first time I had ever done anything like it,I only did the adding of the information,I didn't create the Database itself. This may sound stupid to you as you can probably do it with your eyes closed, but my dad has asked me to create him a Database for his hobby as he keeps buying things he finds he has already got,so he wants me to create a Stock Control List for him.I have gone completely blank and can't even make a start,so am totally stuckI was wondering if anyone can give me some Ideas.
Thanks

What would you class your skill level at? are you familiar with "normalisation" of a database? How complicated do you want to get with this?

Have you got any Access books?

Well, my first suggestion would be that you have a poke around inside the Northwind example database which comes with Access. Pretty much everything I've learned about Access has come from taking apart other people's examples and examining the code myself. You may also find that you can simply vary Northwind to suit your needs, as opposed to writing an entire database from scratch.
