heya,

i was wondering if someone could provide some help?

basically my work phone is connected to a server and on my PC is connected to the same server. on my PC i have some software that connects it to my phone. this software can detect the "dial:" tag in HTML and can automatically start dialing that number.

so i was wondering if there was a way to have a similar feature in access, so that i just need to click a number (or button) and it would start my phone dialing the number i want.

i am pretty new to access so a little hand holding would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for the link, was appreciated however most of that did go over my head :S

i was hoping there was an easier way that i would understand :P maybe i need to do alot more learning first though

yet again though your help was definatly appreciated

Nope, no easier method. Doing stuff like that is advanced stuff. But, you might search around for a sample database that might be able to be used in such a way that you can get it to work for you without having to know what it is doing.

fish,

i would recommend not even learning stuff like this. I made access dial phone numbers out of a table many years ago and I still don't understand the code that they used. better use of your time just using what they put out there for free and not worrying how it's done. who cares !
