This is a very general question, and any insights would be appreciated. My work venue has changed, and I working for someone who has clients, and needs an Access database (A 2010). My boss wants a proposal stating what has to be done, and how much it will cost. I do not know how to make a fair calculation. The job requires design, relationships, forms for user input, command buttons (fairly typical), search forms, and a few assorted reports, one might be a little more complicated. It requires setting up a user login screen, then a menu screen. The job is not extremely complicated. Does anyone have any experience in setting up proposals of this kind and would be willing to share?
I have received very helpful info on Access usage from this forum, and appreciated it very much.
Thank you

Shadow, thank you so much for your answer and the link to your answer to someone else! You hit it when you mentioned all the extras the client thinks of afterwards, especially additional reports that would be built on existing queries, but the forms they open have already been coded, so instead of changing code, and risk breaking working code, I make now queries/reports, and then I can't use the same naming styles because the name was used by a similar qry/repo. And over the past halfe year or so, I have come to Access World Forums with many a question, and their smart, kind responders have come through...thank you!
Really my issure is that since I am still learning a lot of Access things take me longer than they would more experienced users, and I don't know how to charge fairly for that. I set up something in the current project that I learned in the last project, and in this one it took 10 minutes. In the last one...3 hours at least! I guess I just have to "guess=timate" how long it would take someone moderately experienced.
Thank you for your reply and for your invaluable insights based on your experience!

Most welcome. Good luck in your projects and feel free to ask here when you get stuck.
